Explore Wilton

Wilton is home to many global corporations such as ASML, Breitling SA, Cannondale Bicycle Corporation, Melissa & Doug, and formerly Deloitte. The transformation from a small farming town to a suburban residential community has been carefully controlled by zoning, efforts to preserve the town's colonial landmarks, and the reservation of almost 1,000 acres of open space for active and passive recreational use. The Cannondale Historic District, in north-central Wilton, retains its historic character and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Weir Farm is the only national historic site in Connecticut, part of the U.S National Park Service. This site spans 60-acres of national parkland in the towns of Wilton and Ridgefield, with a focus on visual arts. Once home to impressionist artist Julian Alden Weir, the historic home and grounds have been maintained for the public to explore. The farm is open daily for tours of the gardens, homes museum. Weir Farm also offers a walking trail to Weir Pond, Junior Ranger programs for kids, and Take Part in Art. Wilton is ideal for those who want to escape the bustle of the big city and spend their downtime in the great outdoors.
